Anodizing is the process of creating and oxide
layer on aluminum to prevent corrosion and/or provide brilliant color to
aluminum for decorative purposes. A microscopic view of this layer shows that is
a very organized formation which makes it a very hard coating. Quality of
anodized coating depend on the grade of aluminum, prep work, and processes used.
